Cider Orchard by Mirvac (Part of the Melbourne Food & Wine Festival)

Mister Milford was delighted to work with client, Mirvac, on The Cider Orchard by Mirvac in Melbourne. The bar pop up in Southbank was part of the River Graze action, which transformed the river’s edge into a food and wine spectacular from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon, the opening weekend of the Melbourne Food & Wine Festival.

Apple and pear trees lined a relaxing garden space where cider sippers were able to sample some of the best drops in Oz on tap or by the bottle. We partnered with local orchards and the Melbourne favourite “Cider House” who ran the cider bar for the weekend.

There were activities for kids and adults alike, for a donation, you could learn the cider-making process or how to profile your cider through look, smell and taste at several masterclasses.

Guests kept cool with non-alcoholic and alcoholic cider slushies while the children enjoy face painting and paint apple and pear stencils to be used on construction hoardings near the Riverside Quay insta-orchard.

A suite of local artists entertained guests throughout the 3-day weekend festival.
