Placemaking Events

Placemaking can take many different forms, depending on the specific needs and goals of a project and it’s community. Some examples of placemaking projects include creating public art installations, adding seating or lighting to a park or plaza, or organising community events such as concerts, farmers markets, or festivals.

For Rhodes Corporate Park, Mister Milford was engaged to create a “pop-up park” for the staff of tenants at the corporate park to enjoy green space and spring flowers with tables and seating for lunch breaks, umbrellas for shade and bean bags for relaxing. Throughout the month long activation, entertainment and food trucks were incorporated to the program providing a variety of offerings for staff to enjoy. The pop-up garden was such a success, the team at Rhodes Corporate Park opted to make the garden a permanent installation.
